Howdie ya'll, I'm Allan Johnson and I reside in the city of Vancouver, BC. This is my little world wide footprint to help those of you who want to eat a lower carbohydrate natural diet and actually stick to it without going insane. To do this you basically have to cheat once in a while otherwise it'll be a no fun life. Too often when we do anything we set ourselves up for failure by not deviating from the rules. Humans are not rule likers. Even the death penalty doesn't stop people from breaking the rules. Unless if you're some kind of professional athlete, incorporating some kind of sinful food is perfectly fine.

What is this paleolithic or "paleo" or "primal" diet I speak of? The short answer is, it's mimicking how cavemen or pre-agricultural people ate. Basically food that was only available naturally from the earth and not processed or invented. No grains, refined sugar, refined oils, lentils and anything else that you have enjoyed your whole life. If it has to be processed or cooked in order for it to be edible and properly digested then it's not paleo or primal. Yes, it does kind of suck to eat like this for most people but if you at least incorporate this diet into your life most of the time then you'll be much better off than the general population. You'll be healthier, look better and feel better.

Besides providing information on how to live with a low carb natural diet I also hope to combat the myths about food and health for those of you who have been misinformed. I will probably also go off topic completely and rant about the crazy thoughts in my head.

It seems that the whole world is obsessed with directing all their time and energy to acquiring as much money and status as possible without giving any thought to their physical and mental health. If you asked 10 people the question, "what's more important, your health or money?" you would have at least 9.5 of them say health. Yet most of them do absolutley nothing for their health and everything for money. They spend several years and serveral thousands of dollars on education (school sucks) to make more money, work 8 to 12 hours 5 days a week for more money (work sucks), sit at home like sloths, etc. If you really believe your health is more important than money then show me the broccoli. But you know they won't. Green doesn't matter in the fridge only in the wallet.

The majority of us are born millionaires when it comes to health but we slowly deplete our funds over time until the brink of bankruptcy. I guess one can say "who cares" cause we're all going to die anyway but who wants to suffer their last 20 or 30 years in poor health. I've come to realize that the truth is often whatever a person wants to believe to make them feel better about themselves and people have found many "truths" to make themselves feel better about eating "food."
